NOTES OF THE TURF. It is said that Richard Dwyer is seriously considering the offer to do the starting at Seattle next summer and will announce a definite decision within the next few weeks. Ex jockey Charles Delehanty, who rode on the New York 1 racks fifteen years ago, and was considered a fair rider, when Doggett, Taral, Bergen, Garrison and others were regarded as stars, died last Tuesday at Bath Beach. Frank Hayes, P. Magnire and A. Steimer, of New York, are the latest arrivals at New Orleans. They are on their way to Oakland, but will watch the racing at the Fair Grounds for several days liefore proceeding on their journey. An English sporting paper says: "The toboggan race for the Manchester Bowl, presented by the Dnk" of Manchester, and run for at Davos a week or so ago, attracted twenty-three starters. The winning bob-sleigh was the Alouette, the Gazek.i, carrying the well-known jockeys, J. H. Martin, steerer, and D. Maher. brake, finishing sixth." Harry Froelich, trainer of the Bohemian Stable, claimed Fairystreet out of the fourth race at Oakland last Thursday from A. F. Dayton for ,1 mo. When Froelich went to the Dayton barn to get the horse be asked for the loan of a halter. Daytlm let him have a halter and also a blanket. "I will bring these things back just as soon as I get the horse over to our barn." said Froelich. "Dont even think of such a thing, my friend," said Dayton. "I have been trying to sell that horse for 00, so I consider that I am now getting aliout 00 for the bridle and blanket, and thats good enough." .
