COLONIAL GIRL HAS A COLT BY STAR SHOOT. Lexington, Ky., March 30. — To date there are sixty-two foals at Elmendorf Stud and thirty-two of them are colts. The best looking of all is said to be th t filly by Watercress — Hamburg Belle. Tlii most recent foals at Casthton Stud are a bay or brown filly by Disguise — Editha dam of Hurst Park and Pope Joani: brown filly by Ben Brush — Cap and Bells English Oaks winner: bav colt by Ben Brush — Early and Often: bay colt by Ben Brush — White Rose dam of Rose Queen*: black or brown filly by Delhi — Maid of Erin dam of Celt: bay fiily by Ben Brush — Costume and brown or black colt by Disguise — Fealty. Colonial Girl, winner of the St. Louis Worlds Fair Handicap, has a chestnut colt by Star Shoot at Tiuiberland Farm. Colonial Girl is now tlie property of J. E. Widen r. of Philadelphia. Kwai. the chestnut gelding which won at the first asking at Washington Monday, is the only two-year-old by Banastar to race this year and there is only one yearling by that sire now at Kingston Stud. Frank Johnston paid ,100 for Kwai as a yearling. John J. Murray returned today from Havana. He says racing there, considering tlie hurried construction of the plant and an insufficient number and quality of horses, was well attended and he believes th -re is a great future for the sport in the Cuban capital.
