OUR JOCKEYS WHO WILL RIDE ABROAD. The American jockeys who will ride abroad this year have already departed for the scenes of their activity iu the saddle, and manv of them are a* work for their resiiective employers. Jocky Fred Taral and his son, John, both of whom will ride in Austria this vear for Baron Springer, have arrived at the training quarters of the stable at Alair. near Budapest. Harry Birken-ruth .who will ride for Herr Victor Mautner von Markhof, left New York on the same ship with the Tarals and has joined his stable at Schonfeld-Lasse near Vienna. Jockey Miles will have the mounts on the fifty banes owned by the Hungarian millionaires. Louis and Arthur Egydie. and another Hungarian turfman. Mr. Lincoln, will have second .all on his services. Miles says he will be able to ride throughout the season at 107 pounds. Johnnv Reiff has rented a villa at Hoppengarten. Germanv, and will rid. this year for the Siebert stable which has its headquarters there. Winnie OConnor is at present riding in France, but will next week report for duty to his new emplovers, the Wefaherg stable, which has for three consecutive years finished .n first place at the close of the racing season in Germany. Two other American lightweight riders. Charles Koch and Leo McDermitt, will also ride for th e Weinberg stable this year. Harry Lewis will ride for Baron Oppenheiui. the banker-turfman, who owns one of the strongest stables in Germany, located at Hoppengarten. wliere the Siebert headquarters are located Lewis says this will probably be his last year In the saddle, as his weight is inn-easing fast. Harry Silencer is under contract to trainer Maue. who has a number of good horses in his charge, of which he expects great things with Spencer in the saddle
