Sorrowful, away fast and clear of interference, ran into a long lead soon after the. start and won all the way. Splendida was alwavs in closest pursuit and was best of the others. All Red gained steadily and finished fast and gamely. Wheat Bread was a prominent contender most of the way. Pink "Wings had to overcome early interference and closed a gap. Ned Carmack tired near the end. The others- were always outpaced. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Scratched 70G43 Yankee Vidette. 112. Financier was restrained In the early running, but in a forward position, then move up with a rush in the stretch and, wearing Ethel Carr down in the last sixteenth, won going away.. Dunvegan, shuflled back soon after the start, closed a big gap early and. finishing with a rush, was going fast at the end. I.adv Baldur. away slowly and trailing distantly for a half, moved up fast on the stretch turn and finished gamely. Ethel Carr tired badlv after a good display of speed in pacemaking for three-quarters. Maie Fletcher ran fairly well. Palamon came from a long way back in the last quarter. Ben Double, showing the most speed, took a long lead at once, but was tiring in the last .furlong and barely lasted long enough to outstay Bonebrake. The latter, away poorly, had a rough trip and. closing a bir gap, was going fast at the end and would have w6n in a few more strides. Miltiades ran a good race and was prominent all the way. Robin Hood tired fast after going a fairly good half. St. Valentine closed a gap and ran a good nice. Lizzie McLean held on well for a half before tiring. Hannibal Bey got away poorly and had scant chance, but ran far below his best form. The winner was entered for 00: no bid. Berwick was made much use of in setting the pace for the first half and raced Haensel and Please into defeat, hut tired slightly in the last sixteenth. Please ran well nnd, standing a final drive gamely, outstayed Haensel. The latter ran a good race and saved much ground throughout. Gold Treasure ran a good race and came from a long wayMmck in the last quarter Lady Hapsburg showed the most speed for a half, but tired fast in the stretch. Lady Eriny ran fairly well. Raconteur showed speed, but quit badly in the last quarter. Earls Court ran away a mile aud a half before the start and was pulled up in the race. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
