SALE OF ORMONDALE YEARLINGS. The unsettled condition of turf affairs was reflected in the sale of the Ormondale yearlings at the Oakland track last Monday just as has been the case at other yearling sales held this year. Horses which a few seasons back would have brought ,000 or more, did not realize as much as ,000, notably a colt out of the dam of the speed marvel. Listowel. and another a full brother to the one-time crack Sir Wilfred. These two wore knocked down to P. M. Shelby, the former, a son of Ossary Helen Smith, bringing 00 and the latter, a good-looking colt by Ossary Plumcrla, . Shelby also bought a half-brother to Cloudlight and other locally well-known performers by Orsini Lovcllght for 50. The summary of the sale is: Bay colt, by Ossary Helen Smith: P. M.
