JOCKEY GARNER NOT GOING ABROAD. New York. December 19. Jockey Garner is still In town and it is reported that he will go to Savannah to ride at the meeting which commences there Christmas Day. While Eugene Leigh was here it Avas said that Garner toad signed a contract to ride for that horseman in France next season, but it seems now that there was some hitch in the arrangements and it is a question whether he will go abroad or remain and ride here next year. Thomas Welsh paid a visit to the Hynes farm at Stamford, Conn., a few days ago and was well pleased with the appearance of McCartcr.
