AN ANSWER TO A QUERY. C. II. D., Kansas City. Mo. Charts of Havana racing are received by mail and are necessarily several days late in arrival. They are printed as received for record purposes and given proper index numbers. In the case of horses brought back, as in that of St. Valentine, taken from Havana to Savannah, this can lead to seeming but not real discrepancy in the sequence of index numbers. The date lines show readily the order in which the races were run.
