HORSES FLOCKING TO SAVANNAH. Savannah, Ga.. December 2S. The race meeting which opened Christmas Day and is scheduled to run for thirty days gives promise to exceed the most sanguine expectations of its promoters. The three days sport already run off has shown a very creditable class of horses and has been enjoyed by the best people of Savannah. Todays card was depleted by scratches, but the better class of horses made up the small fields and some excellent sport was witnessed. Auspicious and Druid won the third and fourth races respectively and both ran In credltablo style. Tlie Amateur Cup race Christmas Day has stimulated Interest among the society folks to such an extent that a hunt club Is already being formed. The management has decided to put on another race for the amateurs New Years Day. Horses are arriving daily, and the stables of W. C. Daly. P. S. P. Randolph, R. Angarola and A. Stokes are on the way.
