Dargin, from a slow inside start, ran into forward contention to the stretch, then tired badly. Berryessa, away poorlv. closed a gap. Boloman was crowded at the start and made up much ground. Long Ball and Anima both suffered at the start and finished close up. Lady Hildreth set the pace to the stretch and quit badly. The winner was entered for 500; no bid. Uosevale. away slowly, improved her position steadily. Stroke, nearly left, made up ground. Iloyle worked through on the inside from a slow start and loomed up hi the stretch, then tired. Paladini, after forward pursuit for seven furlongs, tired in the closing drive. L. C. Ackerley, away badly, trailed for half the journey and made a fast, but belated, closing effort. Steel Blue, from a slow start, loomed up on the far turn and tired in the last quarter. Melar made the running for half of theV journey and quit. Eckersall was prominent to the stretch and dropped out. Royal Red was shuilled back on the far turn. The winner was entered for 00; 110 bid.
