PEOPLE ABROAD AFTER HER MIS. Lexington, Ky., December 29. H. Eugene Leigh cabled Henry -M. Zlegler of Cincinnati today asking if he would lease Hermis for two years for ,000 per year, with the privilege of buying at the end of that time for 5,000. Leigh said he was acting for a responsible person who would pay expenses of transportation to France and pay insurance on tho noted son of Uermeuce. Mr. Zlegler consulted by phone with trainer Charles Hughes, iu whose care Hermis is at Highland Farm, after which Hughes said Mr. Zlegler had decided" not to lease the horse, but would cable Leigh tomorrow morning that he would entertain a proposition for the purchase of Hermis outright.
