Mr. Bishop ran well and, in a long stretch drive, finished fast. Allen Lee beat the barrier and made the running, but tired badly when a sixteenth out. Bliss Carmen finished fast. Tony Bonero dashed into an easy lead when well into the backstretch and appeared an easy winner when an eighth out, but tlrpd and had to be brought to the whip in the closing stride. Miss Sain, always prominent1, moved up steadily in the last eighth, but Martin bungled in using his whip and she faltered for an instant, but steadied down in the last seventy-live yards and finished fast and gamely. Molesey made up ground gradually all of the final quarter and finished fast. John Carroll finished with a rush after trailing to the stretch. Veil ran a fast three-quarters and retired.
