Fanatic ran lapped on Galinda early and drew-out on the far turn, but tired in the closing drive. Palo Alto, after inside forward pursuit, lost ground In the- deep "oin" on the turn, then came fast in a belated stretch challenge. Galinda ran a fast three furlongs, but failed to stay.
