SANTA ANITA TO OPEN IN FALL AS USUAL. George Rose Sends Instructions to Los Angeles to Have Track Made Ready for Racing. Los Angeles. May 20. — That Santa Anita Park will open for racing next fall as usual, in spite of the recent enactment of adverse legislation iu this state. Is indicated bv instructions telegraphed here yesterday from San Francisco bv George Rose, one of the directors of the track. Rose instructed the track superintendent to have the plant made ready for racing in the fall and authorized the announce-uient that the meeting will lie on an extensive scale. It is said that betting will be by the New York oral method. Rose is quoted as saying that the betting question will have to take care of itself.
