Jack Baker, much the best, was repeatedly cut off in the first three-quarters, but came with a rush when clear and. finishing with a rush, came away in the last furlong. Agnes Wood ran a good race and finished gamely. Masson closed n big gap in the last quarter. St. Aulaire was forced to go wide most of the way and suffered from interference. Elysium was gaining near the end. Reside quit after setting the pace for three-quarters. Ben Benares was sharply cut off on the stretch turn while in a contending position.
