WILLIAM WALKER TO RETIRE AS OWNER. Hamilton. Ont.. June 23. — William Walker announced this morning that he contemplated retiring lioni the turf. He. has priced Bellwe-ther anet Stanley Fay. the- best of his horses, to Joseph E. Seagram, and the deal is likely to lie consummated wili.in tin- ni-xt few days. Walker has puriHiased a farm mar Toronto, and it is his intention to retire for a time from active- p.irtieipation in racing as an owner. He will retain a few mares and also the-stallion. Carl Rogers, and will heap up his interest in the snort by breeding a few horses. Walker i.-o well fixed finaniially. having accumulated a considerable amount of money on the turf during the last few years.
