SARATOGA PATRONAGE IS PLEASING. tirafo"a N. Y., August 5. President Wilson ami treasurer Andrew Miller are highly satisfied with the showing the Saratoga gate has made so far. The patronage has been double that of last year. Mr. Wilson was elected president of the Saratoga Association last winter to till a vacancy caused by the resignation of Francis It. Hitchcock, who surrendered the Saratoga Association presidency to become treasurer r the Coney Island Jockey Club. That the new president or the Saratoga Association Intends to exert all his energies toward the promotion of the sport here 1ecame evident today when it was announced that he had taken a three rear lease on one of the handsomest summer cot jnges ill the village, and that he is in tho market fur a number of high-class horses to strengthen hi stable.
