Iteld worked well in the ruu-ning of .Minnie Rright, and she disused of her opponents rather handily in the second race, for which Youthful was the favorite. The latter failed to get any portion of the purse. The closing dash, also for maiden jockeys, was taken by Ceremonlus, the favorite, in a close finish with Uncle Toby. Posing landed third money. Jockey Moorehouse, who had the mouut on Occidental, one or the early leaders, fell when his mount stumbled after passing the .three-quarter post. He struck the fence and sustained a deep-gash on the head, which left him unconscious for a period. He recovered his senses upon being taken to the jockey quarters and was hurried to a nearby hospital for treatment. Nothing further has developed in connection with the night riding" allegations.
