AMERICA IS GOOD ENOUGH. Fow Horses from This Country Are Likely to Be Found Racing Abroad Next Year, New York, August 5. It is conceded that comparatively few American -horses will race in England next year. Ballot, Colin, Fair Play. Priscillian. Sir Martin and other star thoroughbreds that were shipped across the Atlantic last fall have done nothing to speak of on the other side, and many of them will probably come back. It is even hinted that A. J. Joyner. who is. training the Whitney and Bel mont horses In England this year, will resume opera tlons in America next season. The fact that racing in the state of New York Is ,rogaining much of its .former prosperity is said to have caused many of it lie American owners abroad to long4 for home. As already announced, August Belmont will race almost exclusively in this country next year, while James R. Kecne will have a much larger and more formidable stable in training than at present, n. P. Whitney may reserve some of his best two-year-olds for next seasons campaign in tills country, while H. B. Duryea will possibly find much of his former amusement In contesting for American stakes. If Ballot. Fair Play and Sir Martin had remained in America they doubtless would have increased the. interest in the turf, especially In view of the fact that there are few horses of their class now in training on the Jockey Clubs tracks.
