WHITNEY WINS RACE IN ENGLAND. London. Eng., August 0. At Nottingham today hi! Robin Hood Maiden Plate of 105 sovereigns, for two-year-olds, distance live furlongs, was won by II. P. Whitneys filly by Meddler Ilandspuu. Toot was second and Quadroon third. Eight started. The Nottinghamshire Handicap. 500 sovereigns, for three-yea r-olds and upward, distance one mile, was won-bv Land League. II. P. Whitneys Stamina was second and Agglethorpe third. There were six starters. The Colwick Park Selling Plate of 1X sov-erigns. for three-year-olds, distance live furlongs, was won by Flori. Velesia was second and Hack-lers Reauty third. Nine started, including II. P. Whitneys Tyreonnel.
