Ida D fioin a fast start, moved into the lead with a rush and held the race safe, for the entire trip. Tremargo was bumped several times in the first half, but finished with a rush. Hyperion II. got away In a tangle and was forced to go wide most of the way and had scant chance. Golly Ding showed speed, but tired in the last furlong. Cooney K. ran fairly well. Blagg showed much Improved form, was practicality left at the post and closed a big gap. Minnie Bright ran poorly. The winner was entered for 1909.sh00; no bid. Paul Davis, sharply cut off and forced back to last place, moved up with a rush in the first quarter and, taking the lead, was never in danger in the last half and won cantering. La Toupee, from a slow beginning, moved up witli a rush through the stretch and finished gamely. Sociable was prominent for the entire" trip and just lasted long enough to bold third place. Sir Ormonde ran fairly well. The General Armstrong was in a jam for the first half and taken wide into the stretch. Short Order was going fast at the end. Prince Imperial was restrained for the entire trip. Belle Clem ran well. Carondolet showed the most speed for a half before tiring. Scratched 8-1000 Hallack. 102. Vox Iopuli ran well, was best, but was given a bad ride and would have wou with a good rider. Martin Doyle stood the final drive gamely and showed improved form in outstaying Michael Angelo.
