Madrileno. a promising racer now dead, sold at the same time for 0. James iRowe is reported to lind it difficult to train Grasmere. and the colt for which James It Keene paid ,000 as a yearling, may improve with racing. Wintergreen is being pointed for the Saratoga Cup. in which, on the closing day of the Saratoga meeting, he is likely to meet Olambala. Fitz Herbert and other cracks of his age. Chauncey Olcott tb actor, who owns a beautiful summer homo at Karatoga. is a consistent patron of the races and an enthusiastic devotee of steeplechaslng. " When the sun shines Mr. Olcott and his wife always go into the infield to watch Ulo jumpers at close range. Star Wave, the Dyment stables crack two-year-old, probably will not again start at the Windsor meeting, and is likely to next face the barrier at Montreal. Some of the more "enthusiastic admirers of this youngster have been urging trainer Dyment to ship him to Saratoga for a meeting with the good two-year-olds in training there.
