EXCELLENT PATRONAGE AT WINDSOR. Detroit. .Mich., August 9. One of the pleasing phases of the present meeting at Windsor is the liberal patronage accorded the sport. There has not been one day since the meeting opened that the grandstand has not been tilled, and on Saturday there were nowhere enough seats to accommodate the crowd. This, of course, shows that the sport is very jKipular in these parts and that the efforts of the management to furnish high-class racing lo its patrons are being appreciated. Tlie liookmakers doing business in the ring are tlie only ones to have any complaint to make, as they have been hard hit since the meeting opened. Tlie horses have been running closelv to form and. as a result, the winners have almost invariably beeii well-backed horses.
