ANOTHER CHANCE FOR SIR MARTIN. Sir Martin is to trv for another big race abroad, this time in France. lie is expected to be a starter in the race for the Grand Prix de Tiouville-Deauville at Deanvilie. France, next Sunday. This is one of the great international prizes of the French turf and is a dasli of a mile and live-eighths for three-year-olds and over at weight-for-age with penalties and allowances. It is at ,000 each, with 0,000 added and so a race of high value to the winner. Sir Martin is in very favorably, haviffg the advantage of allowances that make bis weight bnt 110 pounds. Verdun, of Ills own age and winner of the Grand Prix de Paris, is so penalized that he has to carry the stiff impost of 131 pounds. Coin to Le Marois four-year-old, Sauge Pourpree. is top-weight at 140 pounds. W. K. Vanderliilts throe-voar-old Ripolin. probably a good colt, is in at tlio same weight as Sir Martin. The latter lias had a special preparation for this rich race and. at latest reports, was looking and working splendidly. If he conies in lirst it will be some recompense for the misfortune that overtook him in the Epsom Derby. Hut to win be will have to defeat some of the best horses in France.
