Polly Lee was taken wide into the stretch and lost enough ground to cost her second place. Judge Walton ran forwardly all the way and stood a hard drive through the last quarter. Sister Phyllis vi as crowded back soon after the start, but ran poorly. Sensible was knocked back soon after the start. McMillan led for the Urst three-quarters on sufferance and had to be hard driven in the last quarter to save third place. Dunvegau finished gamely. Colonel Zeb was prominent most of the way.
