ETHELBERT TO REMAIN IN FRANCE. New York. September fi. August Belmont, who recently arrived from Europe, says concerning his foreign campaign: "Mr horses in England have not been doing well. Ktlielbert is in my private stud in France and will remain there. He is looking well and is popular. Loral mares have been bred to him and I have bred eleven of my own. The situation here is most encouraging. I am greatly pleased with the size and quality of the attendance, and am gratified because I am assured that the law is being observed in every particular, and the outcome appears to be a happy one."
