R. J. MACKENZIES EASTERN PURCHASES. Xew York. September 0. The death of his Oddfellow horse, Tourenne. for which he paid SIO.iWi to Frederick Forsythe a few years ago. has not discouraged It. J. Mackenzie. The Winnipeg sportsman Iimk purchased four good-looking yearlings through Edwin Whyte. his trainer. Tlie four were a llllv bv Blues out of Penitence, a colt by Meltoniau out of Tchoupetoulas. a colt by Handspring out of Pond T.Hv and a colt by Garry Hermann out of Senorlta. Thee youngsters w re secured by Whyte after lively 1. hiding at the Sheepshead Hay sales, and it is conceded that they are a quartet of good lookers. The Garry Hermann Senorlta colt Is particularly pre-Idrsessing. He is big and powerfully muscled.
