NO STAKES FOR LOUISVILLE MEETING. Louisville. Ky.. September 0. Matt J. Winn, manager of the New Louisville Jockey Club, and Secretary Lvmaii II. Davis have returned from Juarez and will at. once begin the formation of the program for the fall race meeting which opens at Churchill Downs September 25. No stakes will h run off here this fall, but a liberal prograni of purse races will be arranged and the overnight handicaps will be especially attractive in added money. All the races, will be fashioned so as to bring together the best horses now in training in the west, the bulk of which are at present racing, on the Canadian circuit. It has lHrcome known that the principal officials at Churchill Downs will be retained in service at Colonel Winns Mexican racing plant the coming winter. This fact- leaked out by the tender to George II. Limleiiberger of the position of otlicial timer, a place he has held at Louisville. Latonia, IXlngton and other western and southern tracks for several years.
