FANSHAWE TO BE WELL REPRESENTED. Xew York. September 0. William S. Fanshawe. proprietor of Silver Brook Stud, iu Monmouth County. Xew Jersey, the birthplace of Henry of Navarre and Irish Lad. lias resumed his old place on the turf with -eighteen horses. All of them are homebred with the exception of two fillies, one by Disguise out of Duenna, and one bv Broomstick out of Esteem, for which he paid S. C. Lyne ,100 and ,500 respectively. These fillies are smart lookers and attracted great attention in the sales ring at Sheepshead Bay. Mr. Fanshawe will race them next spring, but he bought them more for the stud than for racing. .Most or the Fanshawe yearlings, which are being broken by Richard Miller, the old trainer of the stable of Philip J. Dwyer. are by Ilcno. But Sir. Fanshawe has several by Hcrmis that be purchased with their dams last year at the dispersal sale of Edward It. Thomas Holmdcl Stud. .Mr. Faiishawes Silver Brook Stud at Littlo Silver. X. J.. Is several hundred acres In area, and is considered one of the best appointed breeding farms iu the east.
