GOSSIP FROM THE BLUE GRASS REGION. Yearling Owned by George Stoll Shows Sensational Trial at Lexington. Lexington, Ky., September 2.". On Wednesday the big yearling chestnut colt by Nasturtium IllbrocK worked an eighth in llj! seconds, witli about 125 pounds up, over the local track. This colt belongs to George Stoll, the young owner of The Meadows Stud, and is being trained by George Miles, his superintendent. There are eight others in the Stoll string, as follows: Chestnut filly by Nasturtium Yellow Peril. Chestnut filly by Nasturtium Pink Rose. Chestnut colt by Nasturtium Handy Cup. Bay filly by Nasturtium Katy of the West. Chestnut filly by Nasturtium III Wind. Brown tilly by Nasturtium Merrily. Chestnut colt by Nasturtium Scattercash. Black colt by Frankfort Iveragh. These youngsters were broken at the Meadows and have been at the track for thirty days. The half-sister to Ilermis. out of Knty of the West, has worked an eighth in 12 seconds with weight up. Trainer Miles says the fact filly, Sylvcstris. which figured in some sensational trials as a yearling, will surely stand training again next spring. Mr. Stoll intends to keep her In the choice events for the three-year-olds of 1010. Sylvestris is now running out at The Meadows and has not lately taken a lame step. Jerry Taylor has seven in- training here two two-year-olds and five yearlings. He says he has the making of a real racer in the yearling sou of Cesarion and Calamity Jane, owned by Ed .Martin of tliis city. Taylors other yearlings are- the chestnut filly by The Arrowed Lady Knighthood; bay colt by Woolsthorpe Nags; Lucy Llllard, chestnut filly, by Stalwart Isobel, and bay filly hy Sempronius Froken. G. W. J. Rissells yearlings have been shipped to Louisville and are now being broken at Douglas Park. There are nine in bis collection, as follows: Hay colt by Peep o Day Mettie O. Chestnut Colt by Maddalo Rainwitch. Chestnut filly by Maddalo Princess of Jessamine. Bay filly by St. Lawrence II. Odallsclie.
