THE PRESENT WEEKS STAKE RACING. Tomorrow is the closing day of the Brooklyn lockey Clubs fall meeting at Gravesend. It will be marked by the running of the llayshore Stakes, the names of the probable starters being published today. The Westchester Racing Associations autumn meeting begins at Belmont Park Tuesday. The division of the Matron Stakes for colts and geldings will be run as the main attraction of the day. It has ,000 added and has twenty-live eligible, of which Rocky OBrien. Dullcare. Starbottlc. Coliuct, Rarleythorpe. Busy, Interpose, Candleberry, Lumen. Perry Johnson and Sandrian have the best racing credentials. It is one big race in which the formidable Kccne aud Hildreth stables have no interest. The Jerome Handicap will be run Wednesday afternoon. It is a dasli of a mile and live-sixteenths, with Fitz Herbert, Fayette. Olaiubala, Wise Mason, Affliction. Wintergrccn, Effcndi. May River. Aron-dack, Hill Top. Dr. Ilolzberg and Mary Davis among its nominations. The fillies division of the Matron Stakes will be decided Thursday. Like the colts and geldings division, it is at three-quarters of a mile straight and Lias ,000 added. Odd Rose. Starport. Sticker, Mall-tine. Fair Louise, Angerona, Responsful, Greenvalc. Indian Maid and Flying Footsteps appear the most probable starters and, as none is of much merit in racing, it seems an open race. No stake is set for Friday, but the Municipal Handicap and Champion Steeplechase will be decided Saturday. The Municipal is at a mile and. three-quarters and King James, Moquette. Fitz Herbert. Olambala. Winter-green. Effcndi. Gliding Belle. Bcaucoup. Arondack, Afflict ion and Half Sovereign are the best of the eligibles.
