MORE ARRIVALS AT PIMLIC0. Baltimore. Md.. April 5.— The horses of the Prospect Slable. oyvned by C A. Blonder, and trained by Robert Boyle, have arrived from winter ipiarleis at Benning. So have the horses iu the public stable I rained by Jerry Murphy. Bo le has three of the best steeplechasers that yvill be raced over the eastern and Canadian tracks during the coming summer. He has Waterway.. Tl:ULuuLU« and jjacnt. alt win noes of stakes last season. Boyle expects much of Ihein. as in their early work at Benning they di.s played faultless form. Boyle is particularly -pleased with Thistleilale. which Mr. Prouder purchased from J. W. Colt last fall. Tlii giant son of Knight of thoThistlo never appeared in better physical eondi-lion and Boylo is confident that the old horse will come back this year and be just as good as ever. Though rather small. Waterway is a good fencer, and is not lacking in speed. Dacra has been going about his work ni-ely and yvill no doubt give a good account of himself. Smoker has been displaying a lot of his old time sp. ed in his early work. The most distinguished thoroughbred in the lot iu charge of Murphy is Faust, once owned by the lale Capt. S. S. Broyvn. Faust is a brown gelding by Mirthful -Imp. The aged geldings long rest has seemingly done him a lot of good. Others in the Murphy stable are Margaret, Peep In and Peep, tin- last two being jumpers. Steeplechase jockey P. Iluppe. who rote for J. W. Colt last season, came over from Denning yvith Murphy ami yvill ride his junipers here. Anthony Allen, trainer for W. M. Kerr, who races under the name of Mr. McMurtrie. came from Phila delphia with nearly a dozen horses, headed by Algie. a Iiiulieo favorite. Among the others that Allen will get ready are Bersi. Dromedary. Miildleton Maid and Parson. lackey W. Walker has arrived from his home in St. Ionia He is doing the riding for It. J. Waldeii. of Middleburg. Md.. who yvill race a big string. Walker has been ordered to reimrt to the Middleburg horseman at his farm on April s to work the horses now in training there. Walden is getting sixteen horses ready to race, among them St. Abe. Chilton Queen. Trash*. Kings Plate and a brother to Oxford, ..inns McLaughlins old Derby yvinner. The latter is a tyvo year old ami is promising. Walden has a three quarters of a mile track at Middleburg on which to get his horses in condition, so it is not likely that In- will get here before April 10. It is nardly probable that Cave Ailsuin. the best horse in the harn of William Jennings, of Mt. Wash ington. will stand training. He is on the verge of a breakdown, having pulled up lame in his last four or five work-outs. Jennings still has hopes of bring ing him abeal all rignt. but if he is not successful, he will retire him to the stud. Showing no ill effects of tlie journey- the racing stable of John F. Barthtt. the local turfman, arrived at Pimlico from Jacksonville. The horses came iu charge of Walter Congd* n. who trained the string with success at Moncreif Park. The jumper Waterway worked three quarters in 1:17. Thistledale ran the same distance iu 1:171, lighting for his head. Dacra. from the same stable. net keg three-quarters in 1:22.
