AFTER M0.1E HORSES FOR CHILE. Lexington. Ky.. .Inly 9. — M. A. Silvers, of Santiago. Chile, is here to buy a couple of thoroughbred stallions and two or three yearling til lies for wealthy pairons of racing in his country. Mr. Silvers came here last fall and bought the stallion St. Avoulcus and about twenty yearlings, which he took to Peru. The stallion he bought oh his own account for 35. He got him to Lima ut a total cost of 00 und sold him for ,000 gold. The yearlings were bought for the account of the Lima Jockey Club and are now in training in Peru. They have not raced because of a state war in that country which put an end to meetings this year. The s|iort in Chile, says Mr. Silvers, is prosperous, and the demand for good horses is improving.
