WORK-OUTS OF EASTERN HORSES. New York. July 9. — Recent work-outs of horses in training at Empire City were as follows: Kmpire City — Weather clear; track fast. Apache — Three-quarters in 1:17. Brandy— Five eighths in 1:03. Shows a great deal of improvement. Blackford— Half mile in 51. Shows a fine burst of speed and never looked better. Braaharaoay — Three-quarter*, in 1:101. Has a fine turn of speed: is close to form. Ban— Mile in 1:54. Wus under a stiff pull throughout. Cherish — Five-eighths In 1:03?. Has been working along in a nice way. Colinet — Three-quarters in 1:17. Has all his speed. Campaigner — Half mile in 51. Has been let up on for some time; now doing nice work. Chickasaw — Mile in 1:49. Looks well and works well at all times. Chepaatat — Mile in 1:45. Nice work for him. Charlie Hargrave — Mile in 1:47. Looks well and works along nicely at all times. Czar — Mile and an eighth in 2:01. Went along well in hand. . .„ „ ... Dodson — Three-quarters In 1:21. Dust — Five-eighths in 1 :»7. Danger Mark — Half mile in 50. Shows a nice amount of speed and never looked better. Dullcare — Mile in 1:40. Has all his speed and is now at his best. Dress Parade II.— Mile in i :4fi. Looks well after a let-up and is now up to his best. Euclid — Half mile in 51. Coming around nicely to his best form. Flying Feet — Half mile in 50S. Has shown plenty of speed in other work-outs. Frances Bay — Thrce-nnarters in 1:17. Shows a nice turn of speed and is now at her best. Fauntleroy — Three quarters in 1:10*. Shows all his speed* Grtenbridg. — Mile in 1:40. Has all his speed. Hack — Three-quarters in 1 :24. Has not been do- iug much fust work of late. Helena — Five-eighths in 1 :00. Has been going along slowly for some time. Hawley — Three-quarters in 1:181. Was full of run and eased up the last furlong. Ilunilrunniiig — Three-quarters in 1:19. Has shown a great deal of improvement of late. Hesitati — Half mile in 50. A good looker and mover, with a nice burst of speed. Irish Gentleman — Half mile in 51. J. H. Beed— Three-eighths in 371. Shows all his speed and is now up to his best form. Jupiter Joe — Half mile in B0f, Has a nice turn ol speed and looks lit. Kings Daughter — Three-quarters in 1:24. Has not been pressed much in her work-outs. Lackrose — Half mile in 51*. Shows a fair amount of speed and should race well. Little Bajah — Three-quarters in 1:19. Shows a good way of working and is readv to race. Montcalm — Mile in 1:40. Looks and works well at all times. Meraaaa — Throe-quarters in 1:10s. Shows all her speed and never looked better. May Amelia — Three-quarters in 1:21. Has been on the slow side for some time; now doing nicely. Monocle— Three quarters in 1:22. Coming around to his best form. Ortson— Three-quarters jn i-ja. Looks well and puts in a good work when usked. Ossabur— Half mile in 51. Fast and now up to his best form. Olainbala— Mile and a quarter in 2:14. Looks to be up to his best form. Prince Imperial — Mile and a quarter in 2:12. Has all his speed and is up to his best form. Perry Johnson— Half mile In 53. Has plenty of s| eed and improves with each wink-out. Quincy Belle— Half mile in 52. Has been going slowly for some time; now at her best. Question Mark — Half mile in 53. Has not been asked to show much speed, but looks good. Bompii — Three-eighths in 37. Has plenty of siieed. Koval Captive — Three-quarters in 1:17. Looks well and works well at all times. The Turk— Half mile in 581. Has not been doing much of late and looks good.
