ALBANY SENTIMENT SEEMS FAVORABLE. Albany. N. Y.. March 29. It is believed here that there will bo little difficulty in effecting tho repeal of the so-called directors liability law. The Democrats, who are in a majority in the Legislature this winter, fought the measure stubbornlv at the last session, wnile the Republicans, as a pai-tv, were bullied by Governor Hughes and his supporters into passing it. Astute Republican leaders up state read in the returns of the last election a repudiation bv the people of Governor Hughes unpopular attack iqion popular sports and personal liberty. The introduction of a bill to give the harassed breeding and racing Interests of the state relief by Senator Brackett. the Republican minority loader of the senates will not prejudice it. Members of all parties agree that racinr is in no sense a partisan issue, and influential countv fair associations are behind Mr. Brackett and the gentlemen who want the directors liability law repealed. Measures looking to the repeal of the directors liability law will be brought simultaneously to the attention of the assembly and senate as soon as the question or the senatorship Is settled, and there is small doubt but that it will be pushed quickly to a settlement.
