JACKS ON VILXE PRESS APPRECIATIVE. Last fall, before the gates at Moncrief Park had been thrown open to the public. Manager Brown and the other gentlemen connected with Moncrief Park, announced to the public that Jacksonville was going to have the greatest winter meeting ever held. Well, to be brief. Manager Brown and his associates have more than made good. Moncrief Park has given the city hundreds of thousands of dollars, worth of advertising that money could not purchase. Ever since the morning of Thanksgiving Day every paper of any importance In the United States has printed matter concerning the Jacksonville races and in this manner the city has been brought before the public as it would not have been had .not the racing been in o:eratiou here. The best that we can wish Moncrief Park is that this, the final week of the meeting, will be equally as successful as those already passed and that next year will find the big racing establishment wide open and another great meeting in operation.
