NOTES OF THE TURF. x Harry F. Brelvogel, who was stricken with typhoid fever during the Latonia meeting, has sufficiently convalesced to permit of his discharge from the Covington hospital in which lie was a patient. HO is now at his home in Detroit. Alfred Henncn Morris and Ids son, John A. Morris, were visitors at Baltimore yesterday to see the Morris colors carried by Chilton Trance and Chilton Queen in the Maryland United Hunts races at Pimlico. The Barbarity Stable is tho name tmder which Mr. Morris races, but the colors are "all scarlet," under which the great performers owned by his father, the founder of Morris Park, were wont to race. Supremo Court Justice Tompkins has confirmed the award of the condemnation commission which allowed 1911.sh5,000 for two and a half acres of land taken by New York City from the Empire City Racing Association property at Yonkers for the Catskill aqueduct. The corporation counsel of New York vigorously contended that the, award was excessive, inasmuch as race track property values have been; hurt by anti-betting legislation.
