NAPA MAS was one of the first to show, the start being obscured by dust and, racing LEHIGH to defeat Jn a long stretch drive, won in a game finish. LEHIGH showed much speed, but tired in the stretch drive. EASTMAN came fast from the rear in the final furlong. BESTYETTE ran close up with the leaders for the first half, but tired finally. BARNSDALE left the post slowly, but lauvid up gradually and came through the stretch with a rush. BURNING BUSH quit after showing the most speed to the stretch. CHEERS finished fast and close up. NOVGOROD was sharply cut off at the start and lost all chance. ANNUAL INTEREST set the early pace and quit badly. BELLSNICKER began poorly and came with a rush through the last quarter and almost got up for second place. TOMMY McGEE tired after running well to the stretch. VENETIAN showed speed.
