DAREINGTON began slowly, as usual, but came from behind with a terrific stretch rush and just got up in time to win. MAIZIE GIRL saved ground by a close stretch turn and took the lead, but tired in the final strides. RUSTY COAT, well meant today, showed surprising speed and made a game finish. ACOLIN ran well aud finished close up. LAURA CLAY set a fast pace, but tired in the stretch drive. PIT A-PAT closed a gap. JIM MULVEI1ILL ran well to the stretch and quit. ANNIE WELLS bored out very wide in the stretch, crossing in front of PASSENGER, but finished gamely. RIO PECOS closed a big gap. PASSENGER showed speed to the stretch aild tired. HOGAN took third place quickly and held it, but could not improve his position. FANEUIL HALL ran in improving form and finished well. MEDDLING HANNAH showed speed, but tired. THOMAS CALHOUN was excused by the judges and twenty minutes allowed for a new book. DELENA followed the leaders to the stretcli and forged to the front in the final furlong, but had to be shaken up and crossed in front of BEATRICE SOULE at the paddock. BEATRICE SOULE made a game effort and would haie been closer up but for interference. TAIIOE ran a fairly good race. TWICKENHAM showed the most early speed, but tired in the last quarter. ANNE REVERE ran a good half and quit. Overweights Twickenham, 2 iounds.
