BELMONT STABLE MATERIAL POP. 1912. New York, September 19. At the private quarters of August Belmont, opposite the course of the Westchester Racing Association on the Hempstead Turnpike, are stabled fourteen horses In charge of trainer Louis Feustel. In this collection are seven two-year-olds and upward. The others are yearlings that were shipped from the Nursery Stud in Lexington some six weeks ago. The older division is composed of Raymond, Practical, Culvert, Asti-cot, Scotch Bonnet, Racquctte and White Heat. The lot has had stroug galloping exercise and Is quite forward. Raymond was a winner at the recent Milbrook meeting and a winner of two races in one afternoon at the Berkshire Hunt Club meeting a week ago. The son of Hastings has improved vastly of late, and is of a type that thrives in cool weather. Culvert, a smart galloway, owned by Raymond Belmont, is in his best form, and it is doubtful if any horse in the galloway class barring Booger Red can beat him under normal conditions. The probabilities are that, taken collectively, the seven yearlings five colts and two fillies which are destined to carry the maroon, cherry and black silks of the chairman of The Jockey Club are superior to any over foaled at the famous Belmont establishment In the Blue Grass region of Kentucky. Besides leing royally bred they are exceptionally fine individuals in every particular. Their striking individuality impresses the horseman, and that they will have to be reckoned with in the running of important races in this country or abroad is a foregone conclusion. Their names, color, sex aud breeding follow: Black Pino, black colt, by Rock Sand Black Poplar. Brother to Black Rock and half brother to Black Oak. Rock View, bay colt, by Rock Sand Golden View. Dandy Rock, bay colt, by Rock Sand Donna Mia. Half brother to Mizzen. Mahubah, bay filly, by Rock Sand Merry Token. Half sister to Tactics. Sand Vale, bay filly, by Rock Sand Lady Violet.
