COEUR DALENE PATRONAGE CONTINUES GOOD Spokane, Wash., September 20. Enfield won the handicap at Coeur dAlene today from Arasee and Big Stick before next to the largest crowd of the meeting. He had no easy time of it. as Arasee forced him to drive to the limit and had the former been keyed up to a race the positions might have been reversed. Big Stick acted as pacemaker to the paddock entrance, where he gave It up. For unsatisfactory saddle work jockey Cavanaugh was suspended indefinitely. This rider has been beaten repeatedly on short priced horses, arousing considerable unfavorable comment of late. Jockey Groth was suspended for one week for interfering with Venetian while riding Lady Macy in the third race. It was ladies day, and the fair sex turned out in large numbers. The horses belonging to II. G. Bedwell were offered for sale todav in the paddock. Tommy McGee went, to J. E. Edwards for 40, Biskra to Ai A. Jackson for 75, Maxing to E. C. Capps for 00, Dcscend-aut to A. L. Denny lor 25, Kleiner Vogel to A. J. Jackson for :i5, and Little Elva to J. E. Mc-Rae for 25. Dutch Rock was sold this morning to F. J. G refer for . c Wade McLemore left for Kentucky today, taking Sterlin, Lady Rankin and Free with him. Ho leaves Meadow, Thistle Rose and Lady Macy here for the remainder of the meeting.
