FUTURITY, after being saved for the first half, moved up rapidly when entering the homestretch and, easily disusing of the leaders, was under restraint at the end. GARTH, a slow beginner, worked his way up on the outside and finished a game second. HIMATION ran forwardly. but was driving hard at the end to outstay VESPER. The latter closed a gap and finished fast. MONGOLIAN is very speedy, set a fast early ;aoe. hut tired and may have been short. VIGOROUS showed early speed. Scratched 9S7473Mediator, 123. The latter ran a good race and, responding gamely to punishment, finished wearing the winner down. CHILTON QUEEN moved up fast while rounding the far turn, but tired in the last furlong.
