PAWHUSKA WINS DERBY TRIAL. Spokane. Wash., October IS. Pawhuska won the Derby trial at one mile at Coeur dAlene this afternoon with great ease. He went to the front early, and cantering all the way. scored with case. Rusty Coat ran a good game race and lluished a creditable second. Whatever chances Dutch Rock may have had were ruined by Gross on Shooting Spray cutting across him on the first turn, almost putting him over the fence. The judges took immediate action and suspended Gross for tho rest of the meeting. Ethels fell and broke her leg in the two-year-old handicap and had to be destroyed. E. Cotton, who rode her. escaiKd without injury. Sir Fretful was bid up from 00 to 05 by Jame3 Neil and was bid in for the Hamilton Stable.
