HAMILTON JOCKEY CLUB STOCK VALUABLE. Hamilton. Ont.. October IS. Before Justice Brit-Ion In the High Court. .1. W. Lamoreaux and II. B. Wltton, trustees of the Tuckett estate, are suing Robert Simpson, proprietor of the Royal Hotel, for oho share of Hamilton Jockey Club stock. When transferred to Simpson by the trustees the share wss worth only 0, whereas now it has soared to nearly ,000. The defendant claims that he bought the stock outright and did not get it merely for the temporary purpose of assisting him in securing the refreshment privilege at the race meetings through being a stockholder. .In putting the case to the jury Justice Britton asked them to answer two questions. One was whether there was an agreement that Mr. Simpson Khould return the stock, and the other whether he had paid 0 for it to Mr. Wltton. The jury found that there whs an agreement for its return and that 0 had not been paid.
