BELLE NELSON, running well in the going, wore CLIFF CREEK down and. taking a long lead, was "under restraint to the last sixteenth, where she had to be hustled to withstand the rush of FOND. The latter ran well throughout and made a fast finish. CHILTON TRANCE began slowly, but was catching FOND at the end and would have been second in another stride. AIREY ran well In the going. CLIFF CREEK was speedy and set the early pace, but quit badly. Scratched 9S917 Breaker Boy. 110. Overweights Chilton Trance, 1 pound. NOVELTY rushed to the front and, setting a very fast pace, held an aasy lead to the stretch turn, where he tired and his rider went to the whip, but he responded gamely and won holding his own. LAHORE ran an excellent race and wore NAUSHON down, but could not get- to the winner. NAUSHON was speedy, but lited. ROYAL METEOR was always outrun. HAMPTON COURT took the lead at once and, winning all the way under restraint, was much the best and was f nlv cantering at the end. BOUNDER ran well and, catching SUPERSTITION tiring, easily came away from him in the stretch. SUPERSTITION races inconsistently, began slowly and could never get to the front.
