AVon easily; second and third driving, l.hl ran a phenomenal race, being interfered with at the start when LESBOS lost his rider and knocked iar back, then closed up fast on the far turn and, going into the lead in the stretch, drew out and won in a canter. DUKE DAFFY ran well in the going aud fiuisued fast and gamely. LITTLE EP showed much Arced, but tired in the stretch. MONSIEUR X., SENATOR SPARKS and STAIRS were also Interfered with by LESBOS. HORICON began slowly, but gained steadily and, going around on the outsido, finished with a rush and won drawing clear. MAY AMELIA was favored by the going, ran well and had no mishaps. MON AMI showed the most early speed and ran into a long lead, but tired badlv in the stretch. TOISON DOR ran a good half and tired. HANDRUNNING showed a flash of speed. MONTCALM, suddenly improved, dashed into the lead after having passed the far turn and drew out with ease to win in a canter. BEN LOYAL began very slowly and could not get to going freely until a half mile had been run, then linished with a rush. SPELLBOUND also finished fast and passed HELEN BARBEE in the last few strides. The latter was off in a tangle and tired after running into forward contention. PENNYROYAL set the early pace and was eased up when beaten. GRAS-MERE ran poorly. LOCHIEL ran a good race and always held the others safe for second place. KORMAK moved up menacingly on the stretch turn, then ttired. GUY FISHER propped at the start and was practically left. GRANIA ran well today and was eased up at the end .when her rider saw he could not catch the winner. THE GOLDEN BUTTERFLY ran well and finished gamely.
