HAMILTON JOCKEY CLUB STAKE RACES. Secretary A. R. Loudon of the Hamilton Jockey Club has announced the «i»ening of stakes for the two meetings to be held at Hamilton the coming summer. All arc to close May 15. They are as follows: First Meeting, June 24-July 1. Hamilton Derby, ,000 added, for three-year-olds: one and a quarter miles. National Handicap. ,000 added, for three-year-olds and over: one and an eighth miles. Spring Brewery Stakes. ,500 added, for two-year-olds; five-eighths of a mile. Dominion Plate. ,500 added, for three-year-olds and over; one and an eighth miles. Second Meeting, July 26-August 2. Hamilton Cup. . MX added, for three-year-olds and over: one and a quarter miles. Prince Edward Silling Stakes. ,500 added, for three -year -olds and over; one and a sixteenth miles. Nursery Plate. ,500 added, for two-year-olds; three-quarters of a mile. Brantford Selling Handicap. ,000 added, for three -year-olds and over: one mile. There will be seven races each day during both meetings, with the overnight purses 00 and 00. A steeplechase will be provided every other day for the jumpers.
