NOTABLES COMING WEST TO SEE THE DERBY. New York. May 3.— There will, at the least, be four distinguished parties leaving here in time to see the Kentucky Derby decided at Louisville. Mr. H. P. Whitney will have, at least, twelve of his friends with him. including Messrs. Payne Whitney. Samuel A. Clark. L. S. Thumps .11 and John Fox. They arc likely to leave the day before the race. Mr. Price McKinney and his partner in the Wick-liffe stable Mr. James Corrigan. will have quite a number of intimate friends with them. They will leave the latter part of this week for Lexington and among their invited guests ale Senator Hughes of New Jersey, Senator Mark Smith and Senator Fall of Arizona. Messrs. Phil J. Dwyer. Thomas Monahan and M. Corbett. Mr. John Sanford will be present at Louisville on Derby Day to see Ins colt George Smith race. With him will Ik- Messrs. H. K. Km.pp, F. K. Hitehcock. Andrew Miller. W. Street and W. fiauvh. together with other friends of Mr. Sanford. W. B. Miller, owner of the good sire Incle, will leave here shortly with his family and a few-friends, including Mr. W. H. Kowe. who presides over the regist rat ion dtpartment of the Joe Lev Club. Mr. Jefferson Livingston does not yet know how many will be in his party, but probably ten or more of his most intimate friends. It is also probable that Mr. James Butler will be host to a party of at least tea.
