GLOAMING, after being saved in the early running, slipped through next to the rail when entering the homestretch and, taking the lead with a rush, won in a canter. HUMILIATION displayed a high ilight of early speed in pacemaking and hung on gamely in the linal drive. DDI! HENSLEY raced wide throughout, but finished resolutely when called on for a final effort. LILY HEAVENS had a rough race early and finished fast. DERVISH ran well and was crowded back ou the last turn. The winner, entered for 01, was bid up to ,205 and bought in. DUKE OF DULUTH cantered behind the leaders for two miles, then took the lead under a stout pull and, after being taken back in the final half, came again in the final eighth and outstayed CHIVALRY. The latter raced in near pursuit of the leaders, but tired finally. FOOTLIGHTS had no mishaps, but tired badly near the end and was eased up. DIXOX PARK fenced poorly. RAC set the pace, but was much used in racing TRUE AS STEEL into defeat and tired. J. J. LILLIS was shullled back several times in the homestretch. LII5YAX SAXDS was crowded back on the turn.
