Won easily; second and third driving. ROSEMARY, away forwardly and showing the most speed, moved into a good lead in the lirst eighth and, retaining her advantage throughout, won easing up. CARDOME raced in closest pursuit throughout and stood a hard drive resolutely in the stretch. RALPH S. closed a good gap in the last quarter. LUCILLE R. ran a good race. RARTON tired. AVANDA PITZER, after being hard held in closest pursuit in the early running, was called on just before rounding into the stretch and, taking the lead an eighth out, won as her rider pleased. SOUVENIR, away slowly and racing wide for the first half, came fast in the stretch. R1LLY JOE closed a big gay in the final quarter. TOM ELAVARD came fast from a slow beginning. CORKEY AV. set a fast pace for the lirst half. SK1LES KNOR fell out of contention after going the first quarter. The winner was entered for ; no bid. HUFFAKER was hard ridden through the stretch and held on well to the end. W1LIIITE came with a rush through the last quarter, but lost ground by coming wide. PESKY" showed the most early speed and, setting a fast pace, finished gamely. DODGE, much the best, stumbled immediately after the start and fell far back, then closed an immense gap in the last half and was going fastest at the end. FAUX-COL had no mishaps and ran well. JERRY began slowly and raced wide, but came with a great rush through the last quarter and would have won in a few more strides. LUZZI raced gamely, but tired slightly near the end. ROYAL TEA was going fast at the end after saving much ground on the turns. HAPENNY set a fast pace and tired in the last sixteenth. VOLANT quit in the last eighth. CHARLES FRANCIS moved into the lead after racing close up for three-quarters and won easing up. TYPE moved up steadily after overcoming early interference and finished fast. MEX raced into a good lead after rounding the first turn, but tired in the stretch drive. FELLOAVMAN ran fairly well. There was a bad jam on the first turn in which LUKEMAE and BALFRON suffered the most. The win- ner, entered for 00. was bid up to 1916.sh05 and bought in.
