RACING MEN IN HORSE SHOW DIRECTORY. New York, November 10. Seven of the twenty directors of the National Horse Show Association were newly elected this year and nearly all of these are horsemen closely identified witli racing, steeple-chasing and fox hunting, in all of which sports the thoroughbred horse is the central figure. Prominent among them is John R. Townsend, M. F. H.. of the Glen Arden Hunt in Orange County, N. Y. Another of the new directors is Pierre Lorillard, Jr., whose father and grandfather before him were noted breeders and turfmen. F. Ambrose Clark, who is widely known on both sides of the Atlantic as a patron of steeplechashig, fox hunting and polo, is another of the new directors. Among the other directors interested in the thoroughbred are I. J. R. Muurling, treasurer of the United Hunts Racing Association; Alfred B. Maclay of the Millbrook Hunt Club; Sir Adam Beck, former owner of a stable of thoroughbreds in Canada; E. S. J. McVlckar and G. Howard Davison, both of whom are well-known followers of the hounds.
